Hayward Holdings Inc., a leading global manufacturer and marketer of residential and commercial pool equipment, and it’s Kripsol Spanish subsidiary have entered into an agreement with SCP Europe to sell Intermark; Kripsol’s distribution center in Malaga to SCP Iberica.
The agreement, expected to close in November, will refocus Hayward’s commitment to manufacturing swimming pool equipment while leaving SCP, a global distributor in the pool industry, to offer both Hayward and Kripsol brands in Andalucía and the Iberia market.
SCP SPAIN will take over the Intermark location in Malaga and the employees will transfer from Intermark to new created entity SCP MALAGA. They will continue to report to Pepe Martagon.
Richard Lachance, Vice President International for Hayward expressed his enthusiasm for the transaction, “This will provide a clear direction for our company, employees and customers about our go to market strategy. SCP is a longtime partner of Hayward with the appropriate structure to distribute our products in the Spanish market. This expansion for SCP is in the best interest for both parties."
Sylvia Monfort, SCP EU General Manager adds:
“We welcome Intermark into the SCP organization as we continue to build our presence in Europe. Spain is Europe's second largest market and our investment in Spain is strategic as we look to further grow our position in this important market. Hayward is SCP's largest vendor partner in Europe and this transaction is reflective of our longstanding relationship.
We are sure that with the strong support of this strategic partner and under the supervision of Salvador Mauri, SCP Spain manager together with the daily support of Jose Martagon, Intermark historical founder and manager, this new entity SCP MALAGA will quickly become one of the most efficient and valuable distribution center in Andalucía for pool, wellness and irrigation equipment."
